Hi Jasmine: SOrry you have been sick. We copied the poster. THis is something you should count as a technical theatre piece this year. Swedish culture would be interesting, as would Hawaiian culture, but there wold be more on Swedish theatre….such as Henrik Ibsen ( who is norweign) but pretty much the same. WHo is a Swedish playwright? Hawaiian playwright? FInd out. See ya soon , Jane

Good, thank you. Many other people felt that Wicked left out the story and the intimacy of what theatre should be and only included the technical journey. Too bad.
Whenever you need some inspriation or wonder about our journey…go back to Kate’s blog and read a little of it. IT’s the only one I know of, but I might ask Sam Parker if he has come across any others. MIddle Eastern drama is based in storytelling and religion as far as I know. French Caribbean probably has a lot of
traditional French and African influence..That would be interesting to research. What attracts you to these cultures?

Dear Sammy: This is exactly what artists end up doing…ll the time thinking of how pieces of their daily life, observances, etc. are connected to what stimulus they have encountered. So keep this particular journal entry/comment in mind as you prepare your PPP. We will do a connectivity assignment on Friday. Be thinking about how the pieces come together like a puzzle. Report the actual process of a day or an afternoon and how these moments happen and how you connect them and how the stimulus comes into the process. That is what IB people want to hear about…keeping your eye on the big picture, how you see the world and how you are influenced by the collection of ideas, experiences, meaningful learning moments. Start “commonplacing these items.”

1. Chinese dance, Comedia, (is there a style of theater for animal movement, like in Dark Of The Moon or Cats?)
2. She posted her responses to performances she saw, using her blog not only for daily updates but also more profound reflections. I like that her blog spans more than one level of thought.
